Why Toastmasters?

Yes! Success in life is based on how effective you are. Whether you are a professional or a student, Toastmasters is the best place to improve your communications and leadership skills.

Lose the fear of speaking in public! Learn public speaking skills and gain confidence to speak to an audience. Learn to be an active listener and provide contructive feedback to others.

Leadership cannot be learned in a day. It takes practice. At Toastmasters, members build leadership skills by organizing and conducting meetings and motivating others to help them. Just as Toastmasters members learn to speak simply by speaking, they learn leadership by leading.

At Toastmasters, learn to speak like Churchill and lead like Ghandi!

Christmas & New Year Greetings from Division H & K Governors

(December 2007)

Dear Fellow Toastmasters,

Christmas is a wonderful time for a break from work, for our family and friends, for gatherings, parties and even vacation trips. Whichever the way we celebrate this holiday season, the Christmas message of "peace on Earth, goodwill to all men" remains the same.

In this festive season, we are glad to report that the Divisons have experienced a fruitful year of 2007. We have hold a series of successful events, including the Club Officers Training, Judges Training Workshop, New Members Orientation, Advanced Manual Workshop, and of course the Division & Area Contests. Yet like many other things, they are already a part of the long record of our Division history. And you will agree, the important thing in life is the future.

The coming year 2008 will be full of hope and promises. My dear fellow toastmasters, our future will be shaped by our will and action. No matter you are a club President, Officer, or just a club member, we can all make progress towards our own goals by determination and persistence.

Let us all strive to complete our speech projects and  accomplish our DCP goals, and become a better communicator and leader in life !

Do we have faith in ourselves ?

A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all !
